Valeria Lukyanova has admitted using plastic surgery and Photoshop to cultivate her doll-like appearance – but her tiny waist could also be a result of not eating for weeks.

"In recent weeks I have not been hungry at all; I'm hoping it's the final stage before I can subsist on air and light alone," she told the International Business Times.

Ms Lukyanova said she is converting to Breatharianism, a cult that believes food – and possibly water – is not necessary for human survival.

Valeria Lukyanova has a strong following across social media sites, with over 59,000 subscribers on YouTube, more than 9,500 followers on Twitter, and various Facebook pages dedicated to her.

With her cinched in waist, platinum blonde hair and vacant stare, Ms Lukyanova has attracted international criticism for her self-objectification and obsession with achieving an unrealistic concept of perfection.

In August she was the subject of Vice documentary Space Barbie, which explored her bizarre life and beliefs.

I personally think it is very bad what she is doing. I belive that beauty has to be natural and not superficial. If she countinious like this she will have a lot of health problems.

I think that we only have to have surgery when it is for health problems. Plastic surgery is very dangerous because it can happen a lot of accidents when you least expect it. I find it good that they are so expensive because otherwise everyone with a insignificant beauty problem would have a plastic surgery. Adding to that, I think that Breatharianism is very silly cult.

Our hidden talent

I want to talk about a video Noa's sister did of my firends and I. She had to do it for a project in her photography school. Her idea was to film a friendship video so my friends and I offered us to colaborate with her.

First we filmed a scene in her house and then we went to a very beautiful place at the river Muga called Viasa. When we started to film it also started to rain but eventhough we continued. Later we had a lot of luck because the sun came out from behind the clouds and we went to the beach!

We had a lot of fun this day and we laugh a lot. In my opinion the video is amazing. The actresses were amazing and the director and editor did an incredible job. She became a 9,5 for this project and she was so happy.

The song in the video is called Touch a new day by Lena Meyer Landrut, she won the Eurovision song contest with the song Satellite which is known all around the world.

Last weekend, I'm in love with Carnival

Last weekend it was carnival in Rosas and Stpere. On Friday it was in Rosas and on Saturday in St.Pere. 

I was dressed up as a polar bear with my friends, and the boys were dressed up as we . 

On Friday night my friends came to my house to get ready like dress up and put make-up on, then we walked into the center to a burger restaurant for dinner. After we ate we went to the carnival parade and we had a really good time and a lot of fun. From one o'clock there were a lot of people and we all had a great time. And on Saturday night the carnival continued in Stpere. The party was like in New year's eve and a lot of people came of different towns, it was incredible! These night was awesome, but I had more fun on Friday in Roses..I absolutely love Carnival, the next week it will be in Empuriabrava and Castelló!!! I'm waiting for go to more party

Calvin & Hobbes returns!

Las day I saw on newspaper that Cartoonist Bill Watterson, creator of Calvin & Hobbes, comic couple, returns to the comic, strip after closing the adventures of Calvin and his little stuffed tiger on December 31, 1995, having been published in more 2,400 newspapers. 

After almost 20 years away from the cartoon, Watterson has taken his style to design the poster of the documentary Stripped, which addresses the state of the comic strip and newspapers. This is one of the few appearances of the artist and his second work published in the last two decades, since his retirement from live isolated and does not allow interviews.

Thousands in Guatemala facing evacuation as Pacaya volcano erupts

Today a volcano has erupted in Guatemala and the authorities have evacuated  of some 3,000 people living near the volcano. The Pacaya volcano began spewing ash and lava after a powerful explosion on Saturday afternoon. New explosions were seen on Sunday, with ash clouds reaching a height or at least 4km.

Flights have been diverted from the area, some 50km south of the capital, Guatemala City. The Pacaya is one of three active volcanoes in the Central American nation. The other two are the Fuego and the Santa Maria

The Pacaya National Park director Humberto Morales said to the Prensa Libre newspaper "We are assessing with the National Disaster Management Centre whether we will need to evacuate the 3000 people who live in the villages of El Rodeo and Patrocinio"

The Guatemalan authorities have issued an amber alert, the third highest. It means people must remain alert and be prepared to leave the area at short notice.

My new obsession

Today i want to talk about my obssesion to watch videos in youtube. I can watch videos for hours and hours.. specially about makeup, hair and fashion!! There are a lot of girls who uploads videos every day and give tips for all you need. "youtubers" uploads videos since how to organize your closet until how comb your hair to not spoil it. I sometimes watch laughing videos and I laugh a lot watching these:) So, I don't know what i'd do without YOUTUBE!!!!

Frankenstein

It's impossible not to find differences between them when you watch a film and read a book, normally you first read the book and after, when the book's become popular, it makes the movie. In this case I have to admit that I liked the book more because the movie is a little different and the characters are very unrealistic, at least in the book you can imagine the scars monster ..

Frankenstein is infused with some elements of the gothic novel  and the romantic movement and is also considered to be one of the earliest examples of science fiction.

Hypocrite people

It's amazing to think that  if you write in google "the ugliest girl in the world" appears Lizzie Velasquez as the first option. I find it shocking and ridiculous both, there are such "awards", nobody would like to be the ugliest girl in the world. Lizzie was born suffering from a serious illness that prevents you from gaining weight and why has been "rewarded" as the ugliest girl. Before Lizzie talk about their illness, everybody laughed at her, and now that everyone has seen that is just a good girl with a serious illness, everyone says it's the prettiest. I think the people who have changed their mind after watching the video, is a hypocrite to say that is the most beautiful, because it isn't. I think instead of saying it's the prettiest, directly should haven't been awarded these and laughed, as it's a lack of respect

Orphan black

Today's task was to talk about what we think will happens in the serie Orphan Black, the TV serie we are watching at English class. But the truth is that when Milco put us the first chapter, I loved it and I decided to watch it at home.. so I've watched all the first season.. and it's a little bit ridiculous if I give my opinion about what I think will happens in the serie if  I've already seen, so what I'll do is say whether I liked or not. 

Not only I liked, I loved this serie  because there are many interrelated stories about a group of girls who discover they were cloned by a group of scientists and these, have patented them girls and all about them. I'm looking forward to the second season coming up in April!!!

Happy new year 2014!!!!!!

First of all, happy new year everyone!! I know it's a little bit late because today is 9th of January but It's always better later than never... I hope you enjoyed new year's eve because of course I did.  

I think I started the year very well because I have been, like the last year, in Robyn and Caspin's home doing a special dinner with all friends, and after we went to disco with the other people. Was a great night. This year I hope will be better than 2013, because this year I've had  some problems and I hope to solve them in this new year that comes with a lot of hope.. the best is yet to come! 

Every end is a new beginning, remember! 

Christmas

Hello everyone,I'm a little bit sad because Christmas holidays are over and it's one of my favourites celebrations in the year because is December, so in the end of this month we have the opportunity to change our lifes, to have new year's resolutions and learn about our mistakes, and then start a new year, a new chapter in our lifes. Sometimes nothing change but it's nice to know that we have a new begining and a new chance to do those things that we want to do and try to do it all better. Ofcourse there are a lot of things in my life that I would like to change but I'm so happy to have special people by my side. 

Said this, some weeks ago it was Christmas and I feel so good because I've been with my friends and all my family had special moments with me.  I love Christmas because people  goes to meals and stuff with his family and we see a lot of people that we haven't seen all year and we talk about everything.

Croatia prohibits homosexual marriages

Croatia today decided by a referendum banning gay marriage. A Catholic charity has been what has driven 740,000 signatures to ban them.

The constitutional amendment restricting marriage to heterosexuals went ahead with 64.8% of votes in favor and 35.5% against, according to the data. But they have only participated in the vote 40% of the Croatian population.

Croatian Prime Minister Zoran Milanovic Social Democrat, voted against the proposal and lamented not be avoided because this query on matrimono.

I think it is very wrong to ban gay marriage because everyone has the right to marry whoever, and they are free to do what they want and doesn't matter if they are two men or two woman because if they love each other there isn't any problem, they aren't doing anything bad to us.

I don't understand how people can hate it because everybody is free to do what they want. Love is irrational and we can't choose who we love, we simply love them. And if in other countries have no problem with this topic I don't understand why Croatia says no the gay marriage.

U-CAT, new robotic turtle

This news article explains that engineers of Estonia have created a turtle robot.

The creator of this turtle robot is Taavi Salumäe. This robot has been created to help archaeologists to investigate the shipwrecks, to dive to inaccessible places too dangerous or deep for humans. 

It consists of a mini robot with four independently driven flippers to make it highly manoeuvrable and it is able to swim backwards as well as forwards, travel upwards and even turn in tight spaces. It has a camera onboard and can record what it sees so video footage can later be used to reconstruct a site underwater. 

The device is part of the Arrows project, which is an EU-funded project to make underwater archaeology easier. The various innovations, will be tested in the Mediterranean and the Baltic seas where devices like the underwater turtle will assist larger underwater robots to identify interesting underwater sites

The best app!!!!

Today I will talk about SOUND CLOUD, is an application that I discovered right now. I Absolutely love it. It is the best app I've ever had and I always use it. I can use it from the phone and from the computer. Allows you to listen music, find new songs and remixs.
You can create a list of songs that you like, follow other users, to listen to their songs and put songs I like on others. I would have loved to know long before this app. Now I'm all day listening  all kinds of songs, I can't live without music. If you don't know about it, DOWNLOAD!!!

Self evaluation about our presentation

I will do a self-evaluation of oral presentation that I did with Artiom and Caspin. The topic to choose for these presentations were different customs, weddings and funerals worldwide but we decided to make the presentation about marijuana cause didn't want to make the presentation of the same as the others. I can't upload the video  because we forgot to recorde it! so I write the most important things we said. 

Me: Hello! We are Artiom, Caspin and Laura and now we are going to talk a little bit about marijuana. First of all, we need to know what exactly is it. So, is the female flowers and dried leaves of the hemp plant. Also known as Cannabis Sativa. Cointains about 60 intoxicants, but THC is the main intoxicant that causes a person to "get high".

Caspin: the marijuana plant contains a lot of fiber and it can be used to make ropes,clothes,buliding supplies even fuel for cars!. 

Me: In Great Britain there are 30.000 milion people that have tried marijuana and about 3.000 milion that use it daily despite the risk. 

Artiom: Do you know?? A lot of famous smoke it, like Wiz Khalifa, Beyónce or Rihanna, and a lot of them talk about marijuana in their songs as morodo's song or others.. There are many celebrities who indulge the marijuana and support legalization. 

Caspin: The Symptoms of marijuana are red eyes,dry mouth,litghtheaded,tired muscles and a hot body.

Me: Marijuana has been proven to be safer than alcohol and tabaco but that doesn't mean that it's good.

Artiom: They say that beacuse for example when you are pregnant you cant drink alcohol beacuse it can hurt the baby and marijuana has neves been proved to hurt the baby. In some country and citys it has already been legalized and I think it wouldn't be a bad idea to legalize it too. In conclusion, LEGALIZE IT! (Artiom talked a little bit more about legalize marihuana but I don't remember)

First of all I want to say that I'm shy so I was a little bit nervous but I was lucky because I did the oral presentation with a goods friends, Arti and Caspin. We did a power to show pictures about what we were explaining.Well, I think that I have a good prounciation but I was nervous so I talked quietly so people had difficulties to heard me. I don't know if I did an eye contact, I asked to my classmates and they told me that I did it a little, I know that I looked a lot to my teacher.

               

A life without phones

Today I will talk about life without phones. As you think that would be life without telephones? I think many people's lives today revolves around technology and people was very attached to the use of different electronic machines, specifically at mobiles phones. In a normal day of my life phone is essencial because I need the phone to stay connected with all my friends and family. I'm always looking in my mobile either in facebook or instagram I think the phone informs us everything we need to know. In my opinion a lot of people use the phone for work or to read the newspaper online and I believe that one day newspaper and magazines will disappear because everyone will read it in internet where is free and fast. It's sad to say, but I can't imagine life without phones!!!!

ABERCROMBIE & FITCH will start selling clothing in plus sizes for the first time in a bid to attract new customers, following another dip in sales. The company currently doesn't carry sizes above large, as part of its famously "exclusionary" ethos. The American label is expanding its women's tops collection, to offer a broader range of sizes and colours, and is also planning to launch a shoe category. Company shares have lost an estimated 30 per cent of their value this year, as young shoppers turn to more trend-driven brands, Reuters reports.

Mi opinion about batx

The last year, I finished ESO and this year I've started Batxillerat. I've chosen social btx because I don't like scientific subjects such as chemistry or biology. Is new for me but I would explain what is my opinion about batxillerat. So, I think is not difficult but it's a little bit complicate because we have a lot of homework and examens. For other part, we learning a lot every classes I've been and it's perfectly for me. I'm learning a lot this year, exactly in languages, I can speak French and English a little bit more than the last year and I'm feeling good because i will need idioms for my future. In conclusion, batxillerat is my new goal and I hope to have it.
