I saw this film the other day at the cinema with my family and I loved it because it's like ''the hunger games" story about, and I personally love this genre of films based in a future
Plot:
Divergent is the debut author Veronica Roth American novel and is the first installment of a trilogy. Set in a futuristic dystopian and Futuna city of Chicago is divided into factions, groups of people with unique cultural values, religions and population behaviors. There are five different factions of the city: Truth (Honesty), Lore (Intelligence), Agreeableness (Peace), Daring (Courage) and Abnegation (Generosity)
The protagonist, Beatrice Prior, later called "Tris", grew up in Abnegation, where generosity is maintained above all. Generosity doesn't come naturally to Beatrice, but of the teaching of their parents. She feels lonely and narrow, surrounded by people who do not think like her. When young people turn sixteen must attend an Aptitude Test which determines which faction owns each, choosing to live in the other faction or stay with their parents. The test consists of a simulation, sleeping teens with a specialized liquid to make them dream of a kind of test that seems real. To his surprise, Tris discovers he is able to manipulate simulations and take decisions prohibited, then that is a whole Divergent (person able to manipulate the simulations). She does not fit any of the factions, just like fitness for three different factions (Abnegation, Daring and Scholarship), which terrifies. Beatrice has to survive being one Divergent, which is banned in Chicago
