Divergent

I saw this film the other day at the cinema with my family and I loved it because it's like ''the hunger games" story about, and I personally love this genre of films based in a future
Plot:
Divergent is the debut author Veronica Roth American novel and is the first installment of a trilogy. Set in a futuristic dystopian and Futuna city of Chicago is divided into factions, groups of people with unique cultural values, religions and population behaviors. There are five different factions of the city: Truth (Honesty), Lore (Intelligence), Agreeableness (Peace), Daring (Courage) and Abnegation (Generosity)

The protagonist, Beatrice Prior, later called "Tris", grew up in Abnegation, where generosity is maintained above all. Generosity doesn't come naturally to Beatrice, but of the teaching of their parents. She feels lonely and narrow, surrounded by people who do not think like her. When young people turn sixteen must attend an Aptitude Test which determines which faction owns each, choosing to live in the other faction or stay with their parents. The test consists of a simulation, sleeping teens with a specialized liquid to make them dream of a kind of test that seems real. To his surprise, Tris discovers he is able to manipulate simulations and take decisions prohibited, then that is a whole Divergent (person able to manipulate the simulations). She does not fit any of the factions, just like fitness for three different factions (Abnegation, Daring and Scholarship), which terrifies. Beatrice has to survive being one Divergent, which is banned in Chicago

Titanic letter sells for £119,000

This news talk about the last letter to be written on the ill-fated Titanic. It has sold for £119,000 at auction. It was written by survivors Esther Hart and her young daughter hours before the ship hit an iceberg and sank in 1912.

Esther Hart sat down with her seven-year-old daughter Eva to write the letter just eight hours or so before the Titanic hit the iceberg. It was for her mother in London. And in it Mrs Hart wrote that they were enjoying what she called "the wonderful journey".

She said they were likely to arrive in New York early because of the speed at which the ship was travelling.

The letter ended up in the coat pocket of her husband Benjamin and only survived because he gave her the coat to keep warm. He died along with more than 1,500 others.

Titanic memorabilia continues to be big business. A menu on the day of the disaster was recently sold for £76,000 whilst a violin, played as the ship sank, went for £900,000

Words i've learnt:

hit: crashed into

likely: probably

memorabilia: objects which people collect because they are related to a particular place, person or event

My high school

Today I want to talk about, my high school where I've been studing for 5 years.

On one hand , I think it's on of the best high school of the area, Alt Empordà, because when you finish all the course you have a good level and you are prepared enought to go to the universi. Also is a nice place to study and in my opinion eventhought that the outside is so boring and ugly the inside is all decorated with a lot of colours and drawings that the students have done. The class are nice too, but the problem is that we are a lot and they are to small for many people, and sometimes this situation is a little stressful because usually smell bad and is very hot.

So, finally I want to say that all of the students would be more interested and motivated to go to the high school if the teachers would organize funny activities to spend a great time here.

Man survive 16 months at sea

This news talks about a man alone at the sea who survived for 16 months, more than a year. He survived killing animals and all the things that he found around him and that were able to eat. Jose Salvador Albarengo is the name of this man and that happened to him when he was trying to sail to El Salvador.

He ate all the animals that he found fish, birds, turtles anything that helps him to stay alive. He killed all these animals with his own hands. When Jose's boat finally arrived to the coast he was so bad, he was totally unable to talk, to walk, he was so thin, with a unhealty aspect and so afraid. He's boat stopped in Ebon Atoll halfway between Hawaii and Australia. He was found by a young anthropologist called Ola Fjedstand who was doing some research in one of those islands.

The young man that found him said that the boat was so small tha engine was all broken grown over with shells and other sea animals. Jose was with two people on the boat when it set off from Mexico to El Salvador, but the survivor said that they died some months before. Now Jose is improving a lot, he has eaten a lot of food and currently he is able to walk and to move around by himself, fortunetly eventhough Jose has spend a lot of time in the sea in a hard conditions now he is better and healthy.

In my opinion Jose has been an incredible survivor and he has done a amazing job that I never could do.

Words I have learnt

- harrowing: extremely frightening or upsetting
- adrift: moving across the water but not controlled by anyone

- emaciated: thin and weak because of extreme hunger or illness

Another year

Time goes to fast and
summer is here.

I still remember the first day of school, I was so nervous and anxious to start the course because I past the ESO and I started batxillerat. All was fun and I decided to pass the first year of batxillerat with good marks, but now that there are only two weeks left until summer I see that batxillerat isn't as good as I thought and I can't pass it with good marks because I don't study enough and now I haven't time to do it better. This course has gone very quickly, and I can't believe that the school finishes in only two weeks.

In one side I like that the time goes as fast as it goes because the school seems shorter, but on the other side I don't like it because I feel that I'm getting old, I'm losing a lot of days and because the summer seems so short too and I don't like that.

All in all I think that the time goes fast, and there is nothing we can do to slow it down, so we have to live all the moments of our life and enjoy it.

On internet..

Nowadays the social medias are in all the aspects of our life. With the time a lot of new pages has appeared, and now we can find a lot social medias like, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and more that are in internet.

I use basically Facebook and Instagram, in my opinion their are the best and are so useful to talk with my friends, and put the images I like. I've got this social medias in my own phone to because I use it during all day and I can't express my feelings there. I'm all connected in my house, that I've got wifi and I'm all day with the phone or the computer and in every where I go. I use Facebook, to chat with my friends and see their states and their imatges, and to put tto my own images and the states that I like. And Instagram I use it to put photos of myself or about things that I like. Sometimes I use too Twitter because, it's so easy to use and is useful for all the things that I want to do. Is a good social media too because you can put what you think at the moment and explain your day or you feeling to your folowers.

I think that social media has been a good idea, so useful and that as ease our life, especially Facebok that made us stay connected with the world at any time of day.

Oldest survivor dies

This news talk about the woman who has been the oldest survivor of the Nazi holocaust.

Her name was Alice Herz-Sommer and has died in London after 101 of life. She is a Jewish women who was born in Prague in 1903 and since she was so litlle she has spent two years of her life in a Nazi camp that is located now in the Czech Republic.

Alice Herz- Sommer has had one of the hardest life because she has lived some of the worst events in the world. Her husband was in one of the Camps too, and unfortunetly he died there.

She was a normal girl who one of her pasions was play the piano, and spent the time with her family. She said that she played the piano still the sound was so loud that made her think that the camp wouldn't as bad as finally was. Despite that she has a terrible life she was so lucky to get out alive of the camps with her young son Stephan that helped his mother to survive.

Now that this topic of all the dieds that the Nazi mades are investigate, one of the english channels had made a documentary about Alice Herz-Sommer's life is up for an Oscar.

I think that it's incredible how the people can make all these terrible things simply for have more power so the one that I can do is that althought that I don't know Alice, I'm so proud of her and  all the people who have been fighting all his life against dictators who repressed their ideas and traditions.
