Hello and happy Christmas to everyone! Today it's 25th of December and it's a very special day for me because today I will see all my family. Include all my mother's family from Barcelona and I am very nervous to meet they. Also my father's sister, her husband and they children come too, but I meet with them more often because they live near us and so that's why It's more normal for me to meet they than my family from Barcelona!
Every year for Christmas we make a lunch meeting, we make the most of this and we tell each other all the news we don't know! Evidently, the presents must be there and after lunch we sit down in the sitting room, and we open it :)
Then, we sing the customary Christmas carols together and have fun all the afternoon. So, that's all until the next year!
IOS8 system become famous for his new AUTOCOMPLETE FUNCTION.
The other day, I saw in the news that currently you could write a pop song if you have an Iphone with IOS8 system. Do you want to be the next singer? Well this video proves that anyone with an iPhone could create a song worthy of a Billboard Top 100 spot. The whole pop song is done with iPhone’s autocomplete and makes just as much sense as Iggy Azalea’s Fancy.
OPINION I think that this function does not allow people who actually has talent to make a living with his songs because now anyone with the IOS8 system can buil-up a pop-rock song, without personality or feeling. Moreover, it is a very sophisticated invention that I personally like and that means that we go more but on the other hand, I think is getting out of hands because the most importants thinks that a song needs to became famous is personality, and this can not be given by a mobile phone.
Scientists are starting to build implants they hope can cure blindness and help paralysed people walk.
The brain is one of the most delicate and complex objects in the universe, so tinkering with its activity may seem like a fool’s errand. Yet armed with a growing understanding of the way we process perceptions and memories, neuroscientists are starting to build implants they hope can treat a range of disorders – from blindness to paralysis. But how do these implants work, and what’s possible? Here’s our potted guide to the amazing world of creating brain implants.
Step 1: Choose a route
Step 2: Crack the code
Step 3: Train it up
Step 4: Infiltrate the brain
Step 5: Let there be light
Step 6: Power up
And now.. hack your senses?
OPINION As I see it it is very interesting and praiseworthy thaht a scientifis can change so many our life with this types of inventions as brains implants. Long live the scientific!

So I think it's really bad if your partner fins our on Facebook, it's something importants that he or she know it before you like
The Researchers have long argued that most dogs respond to human emotion in words, and not the actual meaning of words. But now a scientist has demonstrated otherwise. In fact, researcher Victoria Radcliffe of the University of Sussex in England has revealed that dogs respond to both emotion and meaning when their humans speak.
To prove it she sent identical commands through speakers on either side of a dog's head. Then she manipulated the messages, in some cases removing all emotion from a command, in others turning the words into gibberish. When dogs heard commands with meaningful words, about 80 percent of them turned to the right. When they heard commands with just emotional cues, most dogs turned to the left.
The experiment shows that dogs can differentiate between actual words and gibberish, notes Radcliffe, because when the words didn't make sense, they sought out emotional cues. It also indicates that dogs process speech into two parts and use different hemispheres of the brain to determine either emotional cues or the meaning of words, a bit like humans.
A neurobiologist of the MTA-ELTE Comparative Ethology Research Group in Budapest indics than we must tell all the emotional things to the dog in his left ear and for commands that you want a dog to get clearly and precisely, in the right ear.
OPINION Dogs are my favourite animal, mareover I've one dog since I was 5 and I still love ir. For this reason I'm glad to know this news, I shall practice the neurobiologist's advices and I will talk it more and I will check if what he said is actual
This week on the social media there have been pictures and coments about a 9 year old russian girl, Kristina Pimenova, she has been qualificated as the prettiest girl on the planet. The girl, thats soposed to be a future top model has worked for big brands like Roberto Cavali,Armani,Dolce&Gabanna,Benetton,Vogue. When she was only 3 years old her mother signed her in a model agencie and made her a Facebook,Twitter and Instagram account and now she has millions of followers.
Outside of thecatwalks the social media and the publicity advertisment there exists a social problem that worries people, The infantile sexuality.Make up, High heels, manicures, jewells.....its not just Pimenova, there are also other cases of model adverts that have made these young girls look like grown women. The french edition of the vogue magazine that they released in 2011 published a documentari where there appeared other young girls dressed as adults in sensual pouses. After all of the criticize they decided not to take on models that were younger than 16.
OPINION Well in answer to the question, no with proper parental supervision there's no problem with her modeling. Frankly, she is pretty young, but it shouldn't be a problem for her to follow her dream. It's definitely going to attract some pedophiles, but that's how world is. She seems to be modern and well dressed model. I see no problem with her being a child model
It is that day where you can just relax and be with your friends and family; Normally straight after school I go directly to my friend Caspin's house and have some lunch; in the afternoon all eight of us meet up and we go to do something fun like going to anyone place to have a drink or just having a walk with another friends.
Besides I especially love Friday because I see my friends who live in Gerona and I can't see they at week. The last but not less important reason it's because I can go partying with the girls, we always have so much fun when we go out! We love to dance and to have a good time, that's why this day ot the week is my favourite. I always hate having wait the hole week for it to be Weekend.
There is a Katy Perry's video related with Fridays
This news is by far one of the best reactions we’ve ever seen. 100-year-old Ruby Holt spent her whole life rural Tennessee on a farm picking cotton and raising her children. She never had the time or money to see the ocean, but all this changed just shy of her 101st birthday.
Thanks to Ruby’s assisted living center and an organization that grants wishes to the elderly, she was able to make the trip to the Gulf of Mexico and experience the ocean for the first time in her very long life. “I’ve heard people talk about it and how wonderful it was and wanted to see it, but I never had the opportunity to do so” Ruby said.
The 400 mile trip to the Gulf Coast in Alabama was the furthest Ruby had ever been from her home in Tennessee. She couldn’t have summed up the experience better “we don’t have anything like this in Giles County”, said Ruby. This just goes to prove you’re never to old to do something new.
OPINION
This news is very touching because believe that this 101 woman sees the ocean, a normally think for me, for the first time and she would see it because she was working in a cotton farm and raising her children, is very remarkable! Actually, every day is a new day and it does not matter how are you, never is too late for see, feel and try out new emotions.

Probably you heard it, it's a new single RUDE by Magics. I'm in love with this since it was publishing because it's an light-hearted song with a playful melody.
The song tells the sad history of a man who unsuccessfully asks his girlfriend's parents for her hand in marriage but they don't give him because they don't allow him. The guy seems to be crying because the woman of his dream's father couldn't give them his blessing. For one thing, ask for someone's daughter's hand in marriage is complicated but actually he is just trying to be diplomatic as he can.
The lyrics would mention differents thoughts. It can be interpreted with another ways to see it but in my opinion we can imagine a black man who loves his white girlfriend and who feels the same. However, the girl's father is biased to not approve of a black man marrying a white woman. Likely the girl's father is more inclined to think that colored people are less than white, a common belief that is even here today. I imagine this when in the song appears "Don't you know I'm human, too? he try to contends that it's not well.
Lyrics
Saturday morning jumped out of bed And put on my best suitGot in my car and raced like a jetAll the way to youKnocked on your door with heart in my handTo ask you a questionBecause I know that you're an old fashioned man Say yes, say yes, because I need to know You say I'll never get your blessing Till the day I die Tough luck my friend But the answer is no Don't you know I'm human too? Why you got to be so rude? I'm going to marry her anyway Marry that girl Marry her anyway Marry that girl Yeah, no matter what you say Marry that girl And we'll be a family You leave no choice I can't live without her Love me or hate me We will be boys standing at that altar Or we will run away To another galaxy, you know You know she's in love with me She will go anywhere I go Say yes, say yes, because I need to know You say I'll never get your blessing Till the day I die Tough luck my friend Because the answer is still no Don't you know I'm human too? Why you got to be so rude? I'm going to marry her anyway Marry that girl Marry her anyway Marry that girl No matter what you say Marry that girl And we'll be a family Say yes, say yes, because I need to know You say I'll never get your blessing Till the day I die Tough luck my friend But no still means no Don't you know I'm human too? Why you got to be so rude? I'm going to marry her anyway Marry that girl Marry her anyway Marry that girl No matter what you say Marry that girl And we'll be a family Why you got to be so rude?
Can I have your daughter for the rest of my life?
Why you got to be so rude?
Why you got to be so rude?
I hate to do this
Can I have your daughter for the rest of my life?
Why you got to be so rude?
Why you got to be so rude?
Can I have your daughter for the rest of my life?
Why you got to be so rude?
Why you got to be so rude?
Sábado por la mañana, salté de la cama
y me puse mi mejor traje.
Me monté en mi coche y conduje como un cohete,
todo el camino hasta ti.
Toqué a tu puerta con el corazón en un puño (en la mano),
para hacerte una pregunta,
porque sé que eres un hombre chapado a la antigua.
Without humor, life would be boring and everybody would be angry and stressed.
It's essential in life to be happy and get fun. Moreover, a good way to enjoy all the aspects it's with humour, bacause it's abstract and always is there, in the aire, waiting to make happy the society.
Obviously not all the people have the hability to get fun with others but in my point of view it's vital to get a healthy life.
Today I'm going to write about gap years as two of my best friends are doing one and I would love to do one as well in a near future. My friend Noa is in Australia working as an Aupair and my friend Julia is in London studying English. They both are enjoying their stay so much and they are really happy out there.
I can imagine myself doing a gap year very well. Julia and Noa are doing their gap year before university but I think I'm going to do it after having my degree. I really like travelling but I don't know if I would be able to stay so much time away from my friends and family. I would love to go to the United States, England, Argentina or New Zealand I know that almost all universities have programs to study half or one year abroad and I'm pretty sure that I will apply for one of those programs.
In my opinion, it's such a good way to learn a new language, new cultures and have so many new experiences. You are completely on your own thousand of kilometers away from your comfort zone and that's not that easy at it seems. It's a very big step.
Hello, as you know my name is Laura Saus, I live in Castelló d’Empúries, I'm 17 and I’m studying 2n BAT at Ins Castelló d’Empúries.
This year I want to focus on my studies, work hard and this way earn good grades, put my best effort to do what I will want.
Although I don’t know what I’ll be yet, my long-term goal is living in Girona and go to the university UdG. My short-term goal is my research project, obviously and I want to get rid of that burden considering that this year goes too fast and there are many things to learn!
Currently studies are basic to have a successful job with a good salary and conditions too and now, more than ever, I will not drop out of school and I will keep going!
"Every single one of you has something to offer and you have a responsibility to discover what it is”.Obama said this idea in his speech in 2010 and I feel very identified with this concept because I don’t know what I’ll study next year yet and I will try to discover it because it’s a big decision.
I saw this film the other day at the cinema with my family and I loved it because it's like ''the hunger games" story about, and I personally love this genre of films based in a future
Plot:
Divergent is the debut author Veronica Roth American novel and is the first installment of a trilogy. Set in a futuristic dystopian and Futuna city of Chicago is divided into factions, groups of people with unique cultural values, religions and population behaviors. There are five different factions of the city: Truth (Honesty), Lore (Intelligence), Agreeableness (Peace), Daring (Courage) and Abnegation (Generosity)
The protagonist, Beatrice Prior, later called "Tris", grew up in Abnegation, where generosity is maintained above all. Generosity doesn't come naturally to Beatrice, but of the teaching of their parents. She feels lonely and narrow, surrounded by people who do not think like her. When young people turn sixteen must attend an Aptitude Test which determines which faction owns each, choosing to live in the other faction or stay with their parents. The test consists of a simulation, sleeping teens with a specialized liquid to make them dream of a kind of test that seems real. To his surprise, Tris discovers he is able to manipulate simulations and take decisions prohibited, then that is a whole Divergent (person able to manipulate the simulations). She does not fit any of the factions, just like fitness for three different factions (Abnegation, Daring and Scholarship), which terrifies. Beatrice has to survive being one Divergent, which is banned in Chicago
This news talk about the last letter to be written on the ill-fated Titanic. It has sold for £119,000 at auction. It was written by survivors Esther Hart and her young daughter hours before the ship hit an iceberg and sank in 1912.
Esther Hart sat down with her seven-year-old daughter Eva to write the letter just eight hours or so before the Titanic hit the iceberg. It was for her mother in London. And in it Mrs Hart wrote that they were enjoying what she called "the wonderful journey".
She said they were likely to arrive in New York early because of the speed at which the ship was travelling.
The letter ended up in the coat pocket of her husband Benjamin and only survived because he gave her the coat to keep warm. He died along with more than 1,500 others.
Titanic memorabilia continues to be big business. A menu on the day of the disaster was recently sold for £76,000 whilst a violin, played as the ship sank, went for £900,000
Words i've learnt:
hit: crashed into
likely: probably
memorabilia: objects which people collect because they are related to a particular place, person or event
Today I want to talk about, my
high school where I've been studing for 5 years.
On one hand , I think it's on of the best high
school of the area, Alt Empordà, because when you finish all the course you
have a good level and you are prepared enought to go to the universi.
Also is a nice place to study and in my opinion eventhought that the outside is
so boring and ugly the inside is all decorated with a lot of colours and
drawings that the students have done. The class are nice too, but the problem
is that we are a lot and they are to small for many people, and sometimes this
situation is a little stressful because usually smell bad and is very
hot.
So, finally I want to say that all of the
students would be more interested and motivated to go to the high school if the
teachers would organize funny activities to spend a great time here.
This news talks about a man alone at the sea who survived for 16
months, more than a year. He survived killing animals and all the things that
he found around him and that were able to eat. Jose Salvador Albarengo is the
name of this man and that happened to him when he was trying to sail to El
Salvador.
He ate all
the animals that he found fish, birds, turtles anything that helps him to stay
alive. He killed all these animals with his own hands. When Jose's boat finally
arrived to the coast he was so bad, he was totally unable to talk, to walk, he
was so thin, with a unhealty aspect and so afraid. He's boat stopped in Ebon
Atoll halfway between Hawaii and Australia. He was found by a young
anthropologist called Ola Fjedstand who was doing some research in one of those
islands.
The young man
that found him said that the boat was so small tha engine was all broken grown
over with shells and other sea animals. Jose was with
two people on the boat when it set off from Mexico to El Salvador, but the
survivor said that they died some months before. Now Jose is
improving a lot, he has eaten a lot of food and currently he is able to walk
and to move around by himself, fortunetly eventhough Jose has spend a lot of
time in the sea in a hard conditions now he is better and healthy.
In my opinion
Jose has been an incredible survivor and he has done a amazing job that I never
could do.
Words I have
learnt:
- harrowing: extremely frightening or upsetting
- adrift: moving
across the water but not controlled by anyone
- nursing: taking care of
- emaciated:
thin and weak because of extreme hunger or illness
